Labradorite is the birthstone for September.

Labradorite is a member of the Feldspar family and is treasured for its remarkable play of colour, known as labradorescence. It was first discovered in Labrador, Canada, by Moravian missionaries in 1770. Innuit people believed that Labradorite was the Northern Lights trapped in stones.

Labradorite is known to offer protection to its wearer. It’s also thought to enhance mental and intuitive abilities. It calms an overactive mind and energizes the imagination, bringing in new ideas.
