About the stone
Labradorite is the birthstone for September.
Labradorite is a member of the Feldspar family and is treasured for its remarkable play of colour, known as labradorescence. It was first discovered in Labrador, Canada, by Moravian missionaries in 1770. Innuit people believed that Labradorite was the Northen Lights trapped in stones.
Labradorite is known to offer protection to its wearer. It’s also thought to enhance mental and intuitive abilities. It calms an overactive mind and energizes the imagination, bringing in new ideas.
At widest points including bale 3.9cm x 1.8cm approx. Labradorite triangle 2cm x 1.5cm approx, marquise 0.6cm x 0.3cm approx.
Please be aware that as our stone jewellery is handmade and the stones are natural, dimensions and stone colours may vary slightly.
