A stunning design, this ring features a beautiful oval blue moonstone. Only the highest quality stones have been used in our 18K gold and sterling silver range, this blue moonstone is stunning and the flash of blue as the light hits the stone is spectacular, the pictures do not do it justice.
The setting and band on this ring are nearly as beautiful as the stone itself. Our silversmiths and goldsmiths have created a hammered setting with a band of 18K gold and a band of sterling silver. The ring band has been made of hammered sterling silver and features two small 18K gold dots varying in size at either side of the stone.
All of the pieces in our 18K gold and sterling silver range have been tested and hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office so we feel confident that we are providing only the highest quality of metals.

About the stone
Moonstone is the birthstone for June and the gem associated with the 3rd wedding anniversary.
Moonstone is the most valuable stone from the feldspar group. A billowy blue colour becomes visible when the stone is rotated in front of a light source. This effect, called adularescence, is caused by the intergrowth of another feldspar in oriented positions within the main mass of the moonstone. Common locations where moonstone deposits can be found include Sri Lanka, Brazil, Madagascar, India, Germany, Tanzania, Mexico, Australia, and the United States. The rarest forms come from Sri Lanka.
Blue Moonstone is the rarest of the Moonstones and therefore the most valuable.
Moonstone is known as the stone of new beginnings. It has been used in jewellery for thousands of years, including ancient civilizations. The Romans believed that moonstone was born from solidified rays of the moon. In ancient times, moonstone was said to be able to elicit deep passion between lovers. It was also thought to give the wearer the ability to predict the future and good fortune.
Moonstone is thought to be a very calming stone. It’s deeply feminine and is believed to help stabilize hormones. It enhances intuition, promotes inspiration, success and good fortune in love and business matters. It’s a very protective stone especially for travellers who travel at night or upon water.
