Dreamcatchers were traditionally made by native American cultures using a willow hoop with a woven net or web and included sacred items such as feathers or beads. They were hung over babies cribs for protection and it was also believed that dream catchers would protect babies and children from nightmares by trapping them in their webs while dreams would flow right through.
