About the stone
Smoky Quartz is the horoscope stone for Libra and Capricorn. It is also the National Gem of Scotland and has been considered a sacred stone there for a long time, a belief dating back to the Druids. Smoky Quartz has been used in jewellery and amulets since Egyptian times and has been used for protection and healing by many civilizations.
Smoky Quartz is a highly protective stone and is thought to be a great antidote to stress. It is believed to relieve fear, lift depression and bring emotional calmness. Mentally, Smoky Quartz is thought to promote positive, pragmatic thought and helps with concentration, dissolves contradictions and alleviates communication difficulties.
