About the stones
Jasper
Jasper is the horoscope stone for Aries.
Jasper is a sedimentary stone known as a "chert". They are each unique and many of these stones are named after the geographical area from which they were discovered.
Porcelain Jasper is one of the more unusual Jaspers and is sometimes also known as Exotica Jasper or as Sci-Fi Jasper.
Jasper unifies all aspects of your life, reminding people to help each other. It absorbs negative energy, balances yin/yang, aligns body, mind, spirit and is known as useful for shamanic travel.
The Ancient Egyptians associated Jasper with the menstrual blood of the goddess Isis and believed that it assisted pregnant women and helped with breastfeeding.
Jasper is believed to help with quick thinking, organizational skills, and the imagination, allowing you to transform your ideas into action.
Moonstone
Moonstone is the birthstone for June and the gem associated with the 3rd wedding anniversary.
Moonstone is the most valuable stone from the feldspar group. A billowy blue colour becomes visible when the stone is rotated in front of a light source. This effect, called adularescence, is caused by the intergrowth of another feldspar in oriented positions within the main mass of the moonstone. Common locations where moonstone deposits can be found include Sri Lanka, Brazil, Madagascar, India, Germany, Tanzania, Mexico, Australia, and the United States. The rarest forms come from Sri Lanka.
Moonstone is known as the stone of new beginnings. It has been used in jewellery for thousands of years, including ancient civilizations. The Romans believed that moonstone was born from solidified rays of the moon. In ancient times, moonstone was said to be able to elicit deep passion between lovers. It was also thought to give the wearer the ability to predict the future and good fortune.
Moonstone is thought to be a very calming stone. It’s deeply feminine and is believed to help stabilize hormones. It enhances intuition, promotes inspiration, success and good fortune in love and business matters. It’s a very protective stone especially for travellers who travel at night or upon water.
