About the stones

Citrine

Citrine is the horoscope stone for Virgo. 

Most Citrine is mined in Brazil but can be found all over the world. The name citrine comes from an old French word "citrin," meaning lemon. 

According to Chinese legends, citrine is "The Stone of Success," and it should be given to generous people only. Ancient Chinese emperors wore Citrine as they believed it would increase intellectual capabilities and broaden the mind. Today, citrine is used by modern Chinese students to help them succeed on exams. Many Chinese professors and teachers also use it when lecturing.

Citrine is said to bring wealth and abundance. Its properties are also linked to creativity and is said to enhance mental clarity and activate imagination. It carries the power of the sun and is an exceedingly beneficial stone.

Gold Star Rutilated Quartz

Golden Rutilated quartz is a kind of quartz found in a large number of locations throughout the globe, although most Rutilated quartz available comes from Brazil or Madagascar.

A Rutilated quartz features the inclusions of Rutile within its crystals. And while we have golden Rutilated quartz, the rutile inclusions also be more copper, red-brown, black or silver in colour. Most pieces of Rutile are small needles such as threads within the stone.

The Golden Rutilated Quartz is usually known as the “Hair of Venus”.  The Quartz can be smokey or clear and the golden colour needles have a slightly different effect when used for healing.
