About the stones
Citrine
Citrine is the horoscope stone for Virgo.
Most Citrine is mined in Brazil but can be found all over the world. The name citrine comes from an old French word "citrin," meaning lemon.
According to Chinese legends, citrine is "The Stone of Success," and it should be given to generous people only. Ancient Chinese emperors wore Citrine as they believed it would increase intellectual capabilities and broaden the mind. Today, citrine is used by modern Chinese students to help them succeed on exams. Many Chinese professors and teachers also use it when lecturing.
Citrine is said to bring wealth and abundance. Its properties are also linked to creativity and is said to enhance mental clarity and activate imagination. It carries the power of the sun and is an exceedingly beneficial stone.
Ametrine
The world's primary source of natural Ametrine is the Anahí Mine in Bolivia. This mine has been the main supplier of Ametrine for centuries, and the stone is sometimes called "Bolivianite" in honor of its origin.
It's universal name "Ametrine", like the stone itself, is a blend of Amethyst and Citrine. A rare and naturally occurring reaction to varying temperatures during its formation in the Earth's crust.
Ametrine is believed to combine the properties of both Amethyst and Citrine. It is said to offer the calmness and clarity of thought from Amethyst, and the creativity and imaginative qualities of Citrine, making it a truly unique stone.
