About the stone
Amber is fossilised tree resin, often containing tiny natural inclusions, and is mostly found along the Baltic coast. Around 35–50 million years old, it has been used in jewellery since the Stone Age and was once valued by the Vikings as “Baltic gold”.
Amber is associated with the sun and the Leo zodiac sign. It is also traditionally believed to bring good luck, protection and positive energy.
Amber care instructions
Please be aware that Amber stones are generally glued into their settings, so we recommend removing Amber jewellery before showering or bathing as water may affect the glue. As Amber is an organic material, perfumes, lotions, soaps and hand sanitisers can also damage the stone.
