About the stone

Labradorite is the birthstone for September. First discovered in Labrador in 1770, it is prized for its striking iridescence, known as labradorescence, and was believed by Inuit tradition to hold the Northern Lights within the stone.

Labradorite is associated with protection, intuition and creativity, and is believed to calm the mind while inspiring new ideas.
