A classic sterling silver oval locket, available with either a Garnet or Amethyst. Each round-cut stone is bezel-set near the top, adding a pop of colour and elegance. The front features intricate floral engraving with delicate vines and leaves, creating a textured, vintage-inspired look.
In Ancient times it was believed that by carrying something that belonged to a loved one it would keep them in close spiritual contact with that person. Nowadays we carry that sentiment with us, we put photos in our lockets to keep our loved ones close to heart.

The word ‘garnet’ is derived from the Latin “granatum” which means seed, and is called so because of the gemstone’s resemblance to the red seeds of the pomegranate.
Garnet has had a place in history for centuries as a gemstone, talisman or sacred stone. It is so durable, remnants of garnet jewellery can be found as far back as the Bronze Age.
Garnet is known as the stone of commitment. It inspires love and devotion, balances the sex drive and alleviates emotional disharmony. It is said to be a useful stone to have in a crisis as it fortifies and activates survival instinct, bringing courage and hope. Square-cut garnets are said to bring success to business matters. Garnets are also known to symbolise deep and lasting friendship.

Amethyst is the Birthstone for February and also the Horoscope stone for Pisces.
Amethyst comes from the Greek word “amethystos” translated as “not drunken” as it was believed to be a strong antidote for drunkenness. Wine goblets were often carved from the stone.
In the English Middle Ages, it was considered a symbol of royalty and used to decorate English regalia. Until the 18th century it was one of the most valuable stones along with diamond, ruby, sapphire and emerald.
Amethyst is thought of as a protective stone and helps purify the mind and clear negative thoughts. It also helps with stress and anxiety and is a very calming stone.
