About the stone

Garnet is best known for its rich red colour, although it can naturally occur in a wide range of shades. It has been used in jewellery for thousands of years and was particularly popular with the Ancient Egyptians and Romans. Garnet is the birthstone for January and is traditionally associated with passion, energy, protection and friendship.
